HE IS RISEN

As Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, “For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,” (NKJV‬) The Gospel message is about the death of Jesus on the cross as the penalty for our sins (He was sinless, the perfect Lamb of God). And His sacrifice is to redeem us from the curse when we believe in Him. He was buried. But on the third day, Sunday morning came around. Jesus ROSE from the grave victorious over death, hell, and the grave! Over 500 people, as well as the disciples and apostles, saw Jesus walking on the earth before He ascended to Heaven!

If Christ had not risen then our faith would be empty and futile. But HE DID RISE FROM THE GRAVE just as He said He would. And to this day His tomb remains empty!! Thank you, Jesus!! He became the first fruits as proof that with Christ we are raised from death to life, yes here on earth when we receive Him in our hearts. But also one day we too will be transformed in the twinkling of an eye, to a glorious immortal body to be with Christ for all eternity!

What a glorious future ahead because of what Jesus did, and for those who receive Jesus as Lord of your life and walk with Him! If you haven’t yet, what better day than today, Resurrection Sunday, to give your heart to Jesus!

I will close with a scripture that I pray will bless you as you focus on the love of Jesus and the amazing power of our Awesome God! We thank you Heavenly Father for sending your Son Jesus to give us abundant life now and for all eternity when we believe in His Name!!

“Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying. Matthew‬ ‭28:5-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬
